Join us in celebrating Pamlico Christian Academy Capital Campaign with our inaugural Fishing Tournament led by our 6th grade teacher, Randy Nelson, who happens to be an avid angler himself. This event presents a fantastic opportunity for anglers of all ages and skill levels to showcase their talents on the ENC waters. Set sail from Lawson Creek Park for a day filled with fun and friendly competition, featuring prizes tailored for both seasoned pros and family participants. Let’s kick off the summer while supporting a great cause.
Located just a stone’s throw away from downtown New Bern, the event commences at Lawson Creek Park. The tournament is inclusive, offering two divisions along with a special “Big Fish” challenge for the pros. We welcome everyone to register and be part of the excitement. With cash and prizes catering to both divisions, the event also serves as a fundraiser for Pamlico Christian Academy Capital Campaign Building Fund. All donations are tax deductible.
Two Divisions
Payouts for top three teams will be based on the number of entries
Pro-Division $150 per boat
• Pro teams consist of 1-2 anglers
• Fishing for heaviest bag consisting of 2 Speckled Trout and 2 Redfish per team/boat.
• All fish must be of legal size according to NC Regulations.
• Entry Fee $150 per boat/team After June 1st – $175

Big Fish Challenge $50 per angler for the heaviest Trout
(1/2 pot to winner)
Family-Division $100 per boat
• Family teams consist of up to max occupancy of vessel
• Fishing for heaviest bag consisting of 1 Speckled Trout,
1 Redfish, 1 Panfish, and 1 Bass(Large Mouth or Spotted) per team/boat.
• All fish must be of legal size according to NC Regulations.
• Entry Fee $100 per boat/team – After June 1st – $125

Fishing ends at 2pm. You can expect to see gamefish weigh-ins from 2-4pm, with awards at 4:15pm.
There are three ways to register for the Building the Future Tournament:
1. ONLINE: Save time and register ONLINE for Pro or Family division with credit/debit card or Paypal account (**Note:Registration is not complete until payment is received – payment button will be available once form is submitted). To get started choose division, PRO or FAMILY.
2. IN PERSON: Register in-person at the PCA school office. Visit us at 11089 Highway 55 East, Grantsboro today!
2. BY MAIL: Download registration form for PRO or FAMILY and mail with payment to: Pamlico Christian Academy, 11089 Highway 55 East, P.O. Box 68, Grantsboro, NC 28529 (Checks may be mailed to school office prior to June 1st or dropped off in-person-lock box located outside the building)
Make checks payable to Pamlico Christian Academy.
Technically, boats have up until 6:00am on the day of fishing to register. Registration is not complete until both the registration form and full payment have been submitted. Any registration submitted after June 1st for Pro division is $175, for Family division is $125.
