The goal of the Pamlico Christian Academy Athletics program is to provide opportunities for students to promote physical fitness, teach valuable life skills, enhance academic performance, and contribute to a well-rounded educational experience. They play an essential role in fostering good sportsmanship, friendly competition, and character development.
PCA Athletics
Pamlico Christian Academy is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Christian Athletic Association. Variety of sports are offered each season, which allows for more than half of our students to participate in a junior varsity or varsity sport. Our athletes are encouraged to cultivate teamwork, leadership, fitness, sportsmanship and learn how they can take those irreplaceable skills beyond the fields and courts of the Academy.
PCA also enjoys a partnership with Pamlico County High School whereby high school students who are dual enrolled in both schools may be eligible to try out for sports offered by Pamlico County High School (including football, baseball, and wrestling).
The Academy offers the following sports:
- Cross Country (5th – 12th grades, CoEd)
- Girls Volleyball (7th – 12th grades)
- Boys Soccer (7th – 12th grades)
- Basketball (7th – 12th Grade, Boys and Girls)
- Cheer Team (5th – 8th Grade Girls)
- Girls Softball Club (7th – 12th grades)
- Boys Baseball Club (6th – 8th grades)
Mr. Jonathan Altman, Athletic Director, leads our athletics program in coordination with our coaches.
