A Greeting from Our Board Members

Welcome to Pamlico Christian Academy! We are so grateful that you have visited our website. PCA is a VERY special place that will nurture your student spiritually, academically, emotionally and physically. We believe that every child was created by God, in His image, and has been given intelligence, special gifts and various talents. Our goal is to help develop these gifts in your child.

Spiritually, our students are taught how to live the teachings of Christ in everyday interactions with others. We incorporate the Fruit of the Spirit in everything we do: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Life transformation happens as we teach our students to love God and love others through selfless service! Our faculty and administration live out these same principles in our daily interactions with our students.

Academically, Pamlico Christian Academy has a reputation of excellence from preschool through high school. The school uses the Abeka curriculum in our lower grades as well as other appropriate curricula in our upper school. We believe that only an education that has the liberty to address the whole child – social, intellectual, emotional, physical AND spiritual – reaches the possibility of complete excellence. An education that uses God’s Word as its foundational text makes students wiser and more knowledgeable, and it encourages them to be better thinkers, the goal of education.  PCA is pleased to partner with Pamlico County Schools to offer online courses for students in 9th grade and above through Edmentum Online Learning. PCA is also pleased to offer the NC Career and College Promise program in grades 11 and 12 in partnership with Pamlico Community College. Students take online or seated classes and earn significant credits toward college at very little to no cost. Our smaller class sizes afford us the opportunity for hands-on learning through class activities and field trips.

Emotionally and physically, PCA offers excellent electives and special events that keep students engaged and continually learning new information. Our electives include physical education, Spanish, music (voice and instrument), Bible, art, technology and a variety of online electives for upper school students. We have an active sports program, offering cross country and volleyball in the fall, basketball for boys and girls in the winter and cheerleading throughout the year. We also have a focus on community service that culminates in our #ServeENC project which has students in the community serving in various capacities. We also have an active Parent Teacher Organization that provides special student and family events all year long, including our Daddy Daughter Dance. We have A LOT going on in our school!

We would be happy to discuss any of these happenings in more detail with you at any time! Our faculty and staff are very approachable and here to serve your family. We are grateful for our school and the impact it has in our region as we seek to raise up leaders for today. We would be most pleased to welcome your family into the PCA family. It will change your child’s life!!!
