Our Story
Pamlico Christian Academy opened its doors in 2010 to serve students and their families in Eastern North Carolina from a variety of Christian congregations, each with their own historical heritage regarding issues of liturgy, governance, and doctrinal emphasis.
The Academy exists to provide an environment that nurtures both the spirit and mind of its students. Every student’s schedule includes worship, prayer, and Biblical study, as well as thorough instruction in all appropriate arts and sciences. We inspire students to become people of powerful ideas, independent thought and extraordinary faith.
Our Mission
It is the mission of Pamlico Christian Academy to serve as a beacon of God’s light and wisdom in the lives of our Mariners, helping them successfully navigate toward their future by instilling a strong work ethic, personal responsibility, integrity, and a passion for learning, anchored by God’s Word and our shared Christian faith.

Academics
Pamlico Christian Academy has a reputation of excellence in academics from Preschool through High School.
The school uses a variety of well-chosen curricula, including the Abeka curricula in lower grades as well as supplemental courses of study. PCA is pleased to partner with Pamlico County Schools to offer online courses for students in 9th grade and above through Edmentum Online Learning.
PCA is also pleased to offer the NC Career and College Promise program in grades 11 and 12 in partnership with Pamlico Community College. Students take online or seated classes and earn significant credits toward college at very little to no cost. To learn more about the NC Career and College Promise program, click here!
Spiritual Growth
Pamlico Christian Academy creates an environment that nurtures both the spirit and mind of its students.
Every student’s schedule includes worship, prayer, and scripture study, as well as thorough instruction in all appropriate arts and sciences.
The day begins with a short chapel service or a time of personal Bible study that builds spiritual character based on Biblical truth. Your child will receive a strong foundation of faith that will bring them success as they grow!
