Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in literature, grammar, writing, and communication.
- Guide students in thoughtful discussions, textual analysis, and persuasive writing.
- Assess student progress using a variety of tools and provide meaningful feedback.
- Maintain regular communication with parents and administration regarding student performance and classroom activities.
- Uphold and model the school’s mission, values, and statement of faith.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in English and a demonstrated ability to teach middle and high school students.
- Strong classroom management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for literature, writing, and helping students develop communication skills.
- Prior teaching experience, ideally in middle or high school settings (preferred but not required).
Schedule & Compensation
- Approximately 3 days per week (Approx. 21-22 hours per week); specific hours and class schedule will be determined in collaboration with Upper School Director.
- Compensation is aligned with PCA’s part-time faculty scale.
